The Grassroots Empowerment Project, the only state-wide non-profit organization that is controlled and directed by mental health consumers, exists to help people with a mental illness exercise power in their lives. We are funded by the State of Wisconsin - Department of Health and Family Services, and the Bureau of Community Mental Health.
